We all hate dog do, it is the most common complaint the UK public make to their local councils.

There are over 8 million dogs in Britain and between them they produce over 1000 tonnes of excrement per day.

Dog do contains lots of harmful bacteria, Fecal Coliform and Fecal Streptococcus are but two of them. These bacteria can be very harmful to humans, causing gastrointestinal infections, such as diarrhea, as well as infections to the ear, eye, and throat, muscle aches, headache and vommiting. Not very nice at all!!!!

It has also been proven that dog do is a major cause of water pollution, especially in cities where there are a high concentration of dogs. Dogs poo in the road, it gets washed down the drains and hey presto it enters the rivers and so on.

The Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005 (which replaced the Dogs (Fouling of Land) Act 1996, is the government legislature that is supposed to protect us from this evil nasty. However, as we are all well aware dog excrement is only a footstep away!!

The fact that they have been caught in the act and posted on this site, will hopefully make them change their disgusting ways. They may also face a fine, usually £75, but it can be as much as £1000, which is the maximum fine imposed by magistrates.
